A Moment Between Frames
I saw them from a distance these two people sitting close, sharing a quiet conversation. Nothing loud, nothing posed. Just a moment between them that didn’t need explaining. I shot this through a fence, deliberately keeping the bars in frame to hold the sense of distance. It felt important not to intrude.
This is the kind of scene I’m always looking for in street photography. Unscripted. Human. Fleeting. There’s no drama here, but there’s plenty of emotion. A hand on the shoulder says more than a face ever could.
Shot on the Fujifilm X100F with its 23mm lens, the camera let me work quickly and discreetly. The composition came down to timing. Waiting until both subjects aligned, and the gesture felt right. Framing through the ironwork adds just enough separation, a reminder that not every story is ours to step into.
