Market Mood

Portobello Market again - one of those rare London spots where you can drift between chaos and calm in the same ten steps.

I saw her sitting there, lost in her phone, wrapped up in this big fluffy coat that almost matched the dog lying at her feet. He looked like he’d been carved from a cloud - huge, calm, and completely at peace with the world. Between the two of them, not a care in sight.

There’s something about moments like that that make you pause. The light, the quiet, the way the world just softens for a second. She’s in her own little digital world, he’s in his own sun-soaked one and somehow it just works.

Street photography isn’t always about tension or the decisive moment. Sometimes it’s about spotting the quiet parallels, the small, unplanned symmetries that remind you life’s got a sense of humour too.
